Dr. Andrew Rosenthal Appointed Director of Aesthetics at Emory University, Announces Transition in Florida Practice 

Boynton Beach, FL — [May 12, 2026] — Board-certified plastic surgeon Andrew Rosenthal, MD, has been selected for a prestigious role as Director of Aesthetics at Emory University, where he will lead the revitalization of the institution’s aesthetics program following its pause during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

This appointment reflects Dr. Rosenthal’s national reputation as a highly skilled aesthetic and reconstructive surgeon, as well as his unique expertise in complex revision and “rescue” cases. Known for delivering exceptional outcomes in challenging surgical situations, Dr. Rosenthal has built a career defined by precision, innovation, and patient-centered care. 

Decades of Expertise Guiding the Future of Aesthetics 

In his new role, Dr. Rosenthal will be responsible for rebuilding and advancing Emory’s aesthetics program, bringing a science-driven, outcomes-focused approach to surgical and nonsurgical treatments. His leadership is expected to reestablish the program as a premier destination for aesthetic care and education. 

Throughout his impressive career, Dr. Rosenthal has remained committed to advancing the field of plastic surgery through innovation and advocacy. He has more than two decades of private practice experience and is a past president of the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons (FSPS). He has also held leadership roles within the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and PlastyPAC, contributing to national conversations and best practices around patient safety, surgical standards, and healthcare policy.

Transition Plan for Rosenthal Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Patients 

Dr. Rosenthal will continue to see patients at his Florida office through July 2026, focusing on postoperative care and follow-up appointments. After this time, he will pause his Florida practice as he transitions into his new academic leadership role at Emory University. 

Patients can feel confident that continuity of care will remain a priority during Dr. Rosenthal’s hiatus.
